Throughout it’s long history, the Judeo-Christian faith has been in constant need of reform. It’s no different in our day. I’ve been reading the Bible for over 3 decades now, and the more I read it the more I find that it’s telling a different STORY than the one we Christians are telling. Not completely different, but different enough to have some major implications. And the more I read it, the more I find that it describes a different SHAPE to the Christian life than the one/s we often subscribe to. Again, not completely different, but different enough to be concerning.

And it’s not just me. There are a significant number of highly credible people saying the same things. Unfortunately, I find that most of these conversations are happening in places that are largely inaccessible to the average Christian. Locked up in seminary courses, books and podcasts that are too academic and overwhelming for the average non-scholar (which is most of us) to access and understand.

That’s where “The Story And The Shape” comes in. This is my attempt to bridge the gap, to make these vital conversations more accessible. It’s a research project that is ongoing, but I’m opening up the journey to whoever might find it helpful. Head over to the Resources page for links to some of my main sources. Any books that you happen to buy through my affiliate links will give me a small commission at no extra cost to you, to help me continue with this project.
